Alarms Tab

The Alarms tab in the Activities view lists activities with active alarms. From this tab you can view and then snooze or dismiss your alarms.

To automatically set an alarm for any scheduled activity, from the Tools menu, select Options and click the Activities tab. Go to the Defaults Per Activity Type section and select Default Alarm options for each activity type.

How Do I?

View my alarmsClosed
  1. On the Activities view, click Alarms.
  2. If necessary, use the filters to narrow the list.
View or hide the details paneClosed
  1. Click Detail.
  2. Select a record.
    The Details pane displays at the bottom of the list view with detailed information about the selected record.
  1. To hide the Details pane, click Hide Detail.
View the summary paneClosed
  1. Click Summary.
  2. To return to the List view, click List.
Snooze one or more alarmsClosed
  1. Select the alarm or alarms you want to snooze. To select more than one record, hold down [Ctrl] or [Shift], and highlight the records..
  2. Click the Snooze AlarmClosed button.
  3. (Optional) To change the snooze interval click the Snooze by drop-down arrow and select from the list. The default Snooze by value is based on the Alerts Default Snooze option.
  4. Click Snooze.
Dismiss one or more alarmsClosed
  1. Select the alarm or alarms you want to dismiss. To select more than one record, hold down [Ctrl] or [Shift], and highlight the records.
  2. Click the Dismiss AlarmClosed button.

Use the shortcut menu

Complete an activityClosed
  1. Do one of the following:
    • In the Summary view or Details pane click the Complete button for the activity you want to delete.
    • Select the activity you want to complete and in the Task Pane Common Tasks area click Complete Activity.
    • Right-click the activity you want to complete and select Complete Activity.
  2. Follow the steps for completing an activity.

Complete multiple activities

Delete an activityClosed
  1. Select the activity you want to delete and, in the Task Pane Common Tasks area, click Delete Activity.
  2. Click OK.

  1. Select the activities you want to delete.
  2. In the Task Pane Common Tasks area click Delete Activity.
  3. Click OK.
Schedule a phone callClosed

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In the Task Pane Common Tasks, under Schedule, click Phone Call.
    • Right-click in the grid, point to Schedule and click Phone Call.
  2. Follow the steps to schedule a phone call.
Schedule a meetingClosed

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In the Task Pane Common Tasks, under Schedule, click Meeting.
    • Right-click in the grid, point to Schedule and click Meeting.
  2. Follow the steps to schedule a meeting.
Schedule a to-doClosed

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In the Task Pane Common Tasks, under Schedule, click To-Do.
    • Right-click in the grid, point to Schedule and click To-Do.
  2. Follow the steps to schedule a to-do.
Schedule a personal activityClosed

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In the Task Pane Common Tasks, under Schedule, click Personal Activity.
    • Right-click in the grid, point to Schedule and click Personal Activity.
  2. Follow the steps to schedule a personal activity.
