Closing a Defect

The stage at which a defect is closed and the person responsible for closing the defect depend on the process within your company.

Your security access determines what functions are available. Contact your administrator for any access rights changes. WebViewer users may not access full functionality.

To close

  1. Open the Defect Detail view.
  2. Open the Details tab and ensure the Resolution information is complete.
  3. Open the Defect Tasks tab and ensure any needed changes have been made to defect tasks for this defect prior to closing.
  4. In the Fixed in Version box, click the drop-down arrow and select an item from the list.
  5. In the Status box, click the drop-down arrow, and then select Closed.
  6. Click SaveClosed.
