Editing the CreatePivot custom setting

You can edit the CreatePivot custom setting for exporting groups to Microsoft Excel. The CreatePivot setting determines whether or not predefined pivot tables can be exported to Microsoft Excel. This setting is a global setting for all users. By default this option is turned on.
To edit
- On the Navigation Bar, click Administration, and then click Custom Settings to open the Custom Settings List view.
- Click the CreatePivot group.
- In the list, click CreatePivot.
- View or edit the following:
- Category - Verify the category is Group. Do not edit this information.
- Key - Verify the description is CreatePivot. Do not edit this information.
- Data Value - Do one of the following:
- Type true to allow data in a group to be exported to a pivot table.
This is the default value. - Type false to remove the predefined pivot tables from exports to Excel.
- Type true to allow data in a group to be exported to a pivot table.
- Data Type - Leave blank.
- Version- Add or edit the version number to indicate a change was made.
The version number does not increment automatically.
