Picking and shipping items

You can use the Pick N Ship transaction to work on the picking and shipping of items from the required locations and completing the customer order line.

The warehouse mobility icon based menu and list based menu comprises of the Ship It. Pick N Ship is listed as a transaction under the Ship It.

On the Ship It module:

  1. Select Pick N Ship.
  2. In the Warehouse field, select the required warehouse.
    This field displays the user's default warehouse based on the transaction parameter. User can scan the data to pick up items from the required inventory.
  3. Specify this information:
    Order
    Scan the order number.
    Line
    This field is defaulted based on the Selection by Item in the transaction parameter form.
    Note: 
    • This field is enabled based on the Selection by Item transaction parameter.
    • For multiple lines, user can select the specific line to ship as part of the transaction
    Item
    This field is defaulted based on the Selection by Item in the transaction parameter form.
    Note: This field is enabled based on the Selection by Item transaction parameter.
  4. Select Next or use function key F2.
  5. Specify this information:
    Location
    You can select inventory records from a valid location.
    Note: Specify or scan the location from where user wants to pick and ship the inventory.
    Lot Number
    If this field is applicable, the application validates the quantity, based on which the required parameter, over shipment is allowed.
    Note: This field is enabled and is mandatory only if the item is a lot tracked.
    Quantity
    Scan or specify the quantity to be picked and shipped. The application checks for negative inventory parameters and allows user to perform the transaction accordingly if inventory displays a negative view.
    UOM
    This field is based on the Allow alternate UOM transaction parameter
  6. Select Next or use function key F2.
    Note: This button is enabled only if the item is serial tracked. If not, only Process button is enabled.
  7. If the item is serial controlled, specify this information:
    Serial
    You can pick and ship serials assigned to the same order line. However, it allows user to pick any un-assigned serials from the location and select inventory records from a valid location at the same time.
  8. Select Process or use function key F2.
  9. Label printing screens match with rest of the transactions process. For a serial controlled item the Qty Per Box field is set to 1.00 and user cannot edit it.
