Shipment Managers

Shipment managers are companies that specialize in tracking shipments. The shipment manager is responsible for providing status updates about shipments.

In Supplier Exchange, shipment managers are linked to one or more customer users and a host profile. Before defining shipment managers, you must first create the users who will be logging into Supplier Exchange as the shipment manager companies. These users must be assigned a type of "User" or "Contact and User." They must be assigned the "All Modules" or "Logistics" role or be admin users. The host profiles for the hosts the shipment manager will use to communicate with Supplier Exchange must be defined. (To receive ASNs to the host, a document profile record must be created.)

Shipment managers shipments can be created, edited, or deleted. Only administrative users can define shipment managers.
