Shipment Tracking

Global Track & Trace (GTT) assists in tracking long-distance shipments as they move from the supplier's Ship From location to the customer's Ship To location through significant checkpoints.

The Shipment Tracking console displays shipment status and estimated delivery dates for long-distance shipments. Users can drill into specific shipment details to focus on checkpoints and arrival dates. Estimated and actual arrival dates for these locations are gathered from shipment managers to determine an estimated delivery date. Customers can utilize this estimated delivery date to forecast inventory levels and plan production.

To update GTT with current information, shipment managers must routinely either manually update the shipment status or send (import) the Shipment Status API.
