GTT Setup
Before using Global Track and Trace (GTT), customers must set up key components.
- GTT must be enabled in the customer profile.
- Long-distance shipments must be established to define supplier, Ship From, Facility, and Ship To combinations as long-distance. All shipments matching those criteria will be tracked through GTT. Long-distance shipments can be set up through the application or by sending (importing) a Long-Distance Shipment API.
- If the Route Definition Responsibility is flagged as internal in the customer profile, at least one route template must be defined by the customer. Route templates are descriptions of the course of travel for long-distance shipments. Route templates can be set up through the application or by sending (importing) a Route Template API.
- Shipment Managers must be established. Shipment managers are companies that specialize in tracking shipments and are responsible for providing status updates about shipments.
- To use the inventory projection component of GTT, the Inventory Projection console must be set up.
