Defining route templates

Route templates define the course of travel for long distance shipments. Route templates contain a starting and ending point (Ship From and Ship To) and checkpoints in between the two locations. After being established, the route templates can be assigned to a shipment to define that shipment's intended path.

Route templates can be created from scratch, copied and modified from an existing route template, edited, or deleted.

To define a route template:

Select Global Track and Trace > Define Route Templates.
Select the search criteria.
Click Continue.
In the Route List, click Add.
Specify the route information.
When you select the Long-Distance Shipment, the shipment's Ship From and Ship To locations display as the starting and ending checkpoints in the Route Checkpoints table.
Click Save.
To add a checkpoint, in the Route Checkpoints table, click Add.
Specify the checkpoint details.
Click Save.
