Parts per million

The Parts Per Million (PPM) module reports on the defective parts sent by suppliers. As the customer sends defect data, PPM becomes available to both the customer and suppliers.

If the customer uses the Metrics module to track supplier performance, PPM is tracked as a metric category.

PPM is calculated by this: PPM = defects (divided by) parts received (times) 1,000,000
