About Earliest Inventory Time and Latest Inventory Time

Latest Inventory Time shifts unlocked, decoupled process batches (replenishment and depletion batches) in time to keep inventory simulation just above the standard inventory level. Batches you want to be affected need to be selected in either the planning board or in the Process batches overview window. The usual context in which this occurs is a change in demand that takes place after an initial schedule has been made. No new batches are created and quantities and sequence are not altered. The difference between this and latest end time is that latest inventory time considers inventory simulation. Compare also ultimate inventory quantity, which adjusts batch quantities instead of times. You can access these functions from the Schedule menu:

  • To move batches at the earliest time while keeping the inventory simulation above the standard level, select Schedule > Earliest Inventory Time.
  • To move batches at the latest time while keeping the inventory simulation above the standard level, select Schedule > Latest Inventory Time.
