About Joining

Joining combines two or more selected batches for the same process step into one new batch. When joining, maximum batch duration, maximum batch quantity, maximum weight, and maximum volume are checked. You will be warned if the maximums are exceeded, and can then choose whether to keep the oversized batch. Checks will also be done to verify that there is no conflict with the options, tank batches have inflow from at most one process batch and orders may not be split in an end stage. You can set a process batch or a tank batch to allow joining when creating a process step. Any existing constraints will be taken into account when joining batches. If a join would result in a violation of a constraint, you will be prompted to continue or to cancel. If each batch has the same remark, the remark will only show once after they are joined.

The join functionality is accessed from the Schedule menu. See Joining Batches.
