About Resource Allocation

The allocate function reassigns the selected batches to resources. Batches are sequenced based on the start time. Each batch is reassigned to a resource within the resource group of the batch. The allocate function determines the best resource based on the combination of resource capacity and availability, routing constraints, batch duration, transition time, enabling claim and utility claim.

The allocate function can be used to allocate Process batches, Tank batches and Enable batches.
