Creating reports from the Alea Ad-hoc Report dialog

To create an Alea Ad-hoc report from the Define Alea Ad-hoc Report dialog:

  1. Click New Alea Ad-hoc Report in the Office Plus group on the ribbon.
The Alea Ad-hoc Report dialog is displayed.
  2. Select the cube on which to base the report.
The Head section of the dialog lists the slice-dimensions. The remaining dimensions form the rows and the columns of the report.
Note: If you click OK at this step, the default view of the cube is displayed, as if you had double-clicked the cube in the Cubes and Data Areas dialog.
  3. To specify which dimensions are used as slice-dimensions and which are used in the row and column positions, drag dimensions to and from the Head, Rows and Columns sections of the dialog.
To exchange dimensions, drag one dimension and drop it when a border is displayed around the other dimension. To place dimensions adjacent to each other, drag one dimension and drop it when a blue border is displayed around the bottom edge of the other dimension.
  4. To specify which element is selected from a slice-dimension, click Select Element adjacent to the dimension. In the dialog which is displayed, select and mark the required element.
  5. To specify which elements are displayed in the rows and columns of the report, click Select Elements adjacent to the row or column dimension. Select and mark the required elements.
  6. If required, apply key query and zero suppression to the column and row dimensions.
