Converting Alea Ad-hoc reports to formula reports

There are three types of Formula report to which you can convert an Alea Ad-hoc report:

The difference between DBGET and DBGETC is that DBGETC groups all the DBGETC formulas in a report into one database request. Consequently, DBGETC generally returns results faster than DBGET.

In a Values report, the values are displayed but are not calculated by any formula.

In an Alea Ad-hoc report which is converted to a formula report you can use the full range of Microsoft Excel formulas in addition to Office Plus formulas.

To convert an Alea Ad-hoc report:

  1. Open the report to convert and click the arrow on the Convert to Formula Report button in the Alea Ad-hoc Report group on the ribbon. Select DBGET, DBGETC or Values from the menu.
  2. Click Convert to Formula Report.
    The Formula report is displayed.

If you converted to DBGET or DBGETC, each cell of the converted report is populated by the selected formula. The formula is displayed in the Excel Formula Bar.
