Marking elements for display

You select which elements of a dimension to display by marking them in the Dimension Browser or, during report creation, in the Define Alea Ad-hoc Report dialog.

SeeCreating reports from the Alea Ad-hoc Report dialog.

You can mark elements in the column and row dimensions and in the slice-dimensions. The procedure is the same but slice-dimensions use only one element. This can be a base or consolidated element.

For dimensions in the column or row position, you can select individual elements or multiple elements, or you can select all elements at a particular level in the hierarchy.

In the Alea Ad-hoc report, click the dimension from which to select elements. The Dimension Browser opens.

SeeUsing the Dimension Browser.

Expand the dimension and click to the left of each element to display. A green tick is displayed next to each element you select. To remove a tick, click it.

When you have selected the elements you require, click Keep Marked Elements.
