Viewing properties of Ad-hoc reports

To view the properties of an Ad-hoc report:

  1. Open the report.
  2. Click the database alias under which the report was created.
  3. Click Properties in the Database Structure.
  4. Click a blank area of the report.
    For all reports, you can specify these properties:

    Formatting type The basis on which the data in the report is formatted. The options are No formatting, Use client formatting, Use provider formatting.
    Cube name The name of the cube on which the report is based.
    Alias The name of the database alias under which the report was created.
    MDX definition The MDX definition of the report.
    Transposed False if Transpose Report in the Ad-hoc Report group on the ribbon is not depressed. That is, the columns and rows originally specified in the report have not been transposed. Otherwise, True.
    For reports created on an Analysis Services database alias you can specify these additional properties:

    Exception reporting Click the Browse button to open the Exception reporting dialog.

    Ranking type Select the ranking type.

    Ranking count Specify the number of values displayed in the ranking.

    Fore-/Background Color of Subtotals and Ranking Select the foreground and background colors of the results.
    Visual Totals Select True to base the calculation of the Ad-hoc report on the displayed values.
