Applying a template to an Ad-hoc report

If you click New Ad-hoc Report in the toolbar of the Database Structure, or if you double-click a cube in the Database Structure, an Ad-hoc report is created, but you do not have an option to select a template.

To apply a template to an Ad-hoc report after it has been created:

  1. Click Options.
    The Options dialog is displayed.
  2. On the Ad-hoc Report tab, ensure that Use template is selected.
  3. Click the browse button in the field adjacent to the Use template check box.
    The Choose Template dialog is displayed.
    Note: You can open the Choose Template dialog by holding down the <Ctrl> key and double-clicking an Ad-hoc report in the Report Catalog.
  4. Select a template and click OK.
