Defining consolidated elements

To define a consolidated element:

  1. Open the Create/Edit Dimension dialog by creating or editing a dimension. .
    See Creating dimensions.
  2. Create the elements that will comprise the consolidated element.
    See Creating elements.
  3. Create an element to form the parent.
    Use the Move Up and Move Down arrows to move the child elements.
  4. Select all the child elements and click Indent Right.
    By default, the Weight column for all the elements displays a weight of 1.
    Note: If you convert a base element to a consolidated element, all data associated with the base element is lost.
