About Replenishing Inventory
Replenish is a form of backward planning that creates batches to replenish inventory points to the standard inventory level. It also applies to products with a cover period and an inventory interval. Replenishment batches are typically used for the scheduling of inflow products.

You can choose manual or automatic replenishment:
- The automatic mode uses the defined constraints to create the replenishment batches.
- The manual mode starts with a suggestion that is based on shortage or overflow. You can specify the exact number of batches and exact quantities.
In cases where replenishment batches are already defined, the inventory profile is ascending and descending. Existing replenishment and depletion batches are taken in account.
If the inventory is under the minimum level at the start of the work area, the inventory is first replenished to the minimum level. Later, the inventory is replenished to the selected inventory strategy when required, that is, just in time:
