About Products

A product is a type of material, substance or article that can be inflow from or outflow to a batch. Individual products derive their product type from the product group to which they belong. The Products overview window can be used to display only the products of a certain stage. For decoupled products, you can also use the Inventory Points overview window to display the information.

You can rename products or a subset of products.

 

These tabs are displayed in the Product entry dialog box.

  •  General tab - This tab contains generic information for products.
  •  Custom Fields tab - This tab allows you to edit values for custom fields that you may have defined when defining preferences.
  •  Inventory Points tab - This tab allows you to set inventory levels. It is only visible for decoupled products.
