Editing the CreatePivot custom setting

You can edit the CreatePivot custom setting for exporting groups to Microsoft Excel. The CreatePivot setting determines whether or not predefined pivot tables can be exported to Microsoft Excel. This setting is a global setting for all users. By default this option is turned on.

The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.

To edit:

  1. From the Navigation Bar, select Administration, and then select Custom Settings to open the Custom Settings List view.
  2. Select the CreatePivot group.
  3. From the list, click CreatePivot.
  4. View or edit the following:
    Category
    Verify the category is Group. Do not edit this information.
    Key
    Verify the description is CreatePivot. Do not edit this information.
    Data Value
    Perform one of the following:
    • Type true to allow data in a group to be exported to a pivot table. This is the default value.
    • Type false to remove the predefined pivot tables from exports to Excel.
    Data Type
    Leave blank.
    Validation
    Leave blank.
    Version
    Add or edit the version number to indicate a change was made.

    The version number does not increment automatically.

  5. Click (Save).
