Using the Custom Setting Detail View

Use the Detail view to see or edit information for a selected record.

The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.

To open the Custom Setting Detail view, click Administration from the Navigation Bar and click Custom Settings to open the Custom Settings List view. Use groups to locate a custom setting, and then click on the custom setting description.

On this page you can:

• Edit the MaxExportRecordCount custom setting
• Edit CreatePivot custom setting
• Use the Lookup to search for records
• Use the Task Pane group list or common tasks
• View a group
• Switch to the List view: Click (List View) from toolbar or click the Current Group tab.
• The Task Pane contains the Common Tasks section. In this section, you can:
  • Add records to Group
  • Remove records from Group

Information Fields

You can view this information:

Field Name	Description
Category	The category with which the setting is associated.
Key	A brief description of the option.
Data Value	Allows you to define a data value for the setting.
Data Type	The type of option for the category.
Version	The version number of the custom setting. The version number does not increment automatically.
