Database structure
Database Structure is a pane of the Repository Explorer. It displays, as a hierarchy, the structural elements of the database. By default it displays the cubes of each multidimensional database alias. Expand a cube to display its dimensions. The dimensions are listed in the same order as in the database. Elsewhere, for example, in the Edit Formula dialog, dimensions are ordered alphabetically by unique name. Expand a dimension to display its hierarchies.
Optionally, to display further structural elements, click and select the elements to display. For Multidimensional database aliases, these are the options:
- Show Named Sets. Named sets are customized subsets of elements that are stored in the database for reuse.
- Show Calculations.
- Show Levels. The levels of each hierarchy
The buttons and icons of the database structure vary according to the level of the structure you select and the type of database alias.
