Specify this information:
- Manual Payment Override
- Select this option to allow an authorised user to adjust the amount to be paid to a supplier. It allows the user to enter and post an adjustment amount via a control desk using the Manual Payment Override process, prior to running the Payments process from the same control desk.
- Manual payment perm or temp
- If the Manual Payment Override option is set, you can choose
to post manual payment override transactions generated as permanent or
temporary transactions. Two options are available:
- Permanent - select this option if the manual payment override transactions should remain visible on the supplier account after they have been paid and matched.
- Temporary - set this option to mark the payment override transactions as Correction transactions once they have been paid and matched.
- Automatic Payment Stamp
- Set this option if payment stamps are required to group together all of the transactions associated with a payment. See Stamping Payment Transactions in the Financials User Guide / Help.
- Authorization Required
- This determines whether or not transactions require authorization before they can be processed. Select Yes if authorization checking is required. Authorization checking is performed for each authorization set as a whole, for example, if an individual transaction line cannot be authorized, then the entire set must be rejected. Alternatively, select No if authorization checking is not required. See What is the Authorization Facility?.
-
Note: When transactions are authorized, the consequential ledger postings are permanent, even if the Provisional Postings option on the General tab (described above) is set to Mandatory.
