About Macros
You can access the macro functions through the Infor Production Scheduling to be carried out in a specific sequence when executing the macro. With the macro functions, you can combine repeatable activities into a macro and then execute it either automatically or manually. You can run a macro by selecting it in the overview window and clicking the button or by scheduling it.

- You can use different Infor Production Scheduling procedures to create scheduling scenarios.
- You can manually or automatically execute specific tasks at predefined times and cycles.
- You can start a macro to do specific tasks in Infor Production Scheduling, and then send the results to an external system.
Macros are accessed from the
menu command.The macro functionality has three main features:
- Macro Entry - This is used for creating macros and their details.
- Macro Scheduler - This is used to program the automatic execution of macros in Infor Production Scheduling. It maintains the list used to automatically run macros.
- Macro Execution Log - This is used to manage the execution of scheduled macros. It maintains a list of macros that have to be executed in the Macro Execution List. Contents of the list show macros scheduled, whether or not they are completed.
Deleting a Macro
A macro can only be deleted in these cases only:
- It is not used in other macros.
- It is not listed in the Macro Activation Schedule (maintained by the Macro Activation Scheduler).
- The Macro Execution Log is not currently executing the macro.
