About Entry Windows

Entry windows display data related to a record you have selected in the relevant overview window. In general, you can open an entry window or dialog box by double-clicking a record in an overview window.

You can move through the fields from top to bottom by pressing the Tab key. Pressing the Shift + Tab keys moves you through the fields in reverse order.

As long as the entry window is open, the modified data in that dialog box is not changed and therefore cannot yet be used in other windows. Changes made here are registered in the rest of Infor Production Scheduling after you close the window.

Save changes in the entry dialog box by using the following buttons:

Button Description
The Save button saves your entries or modifications and returns you to the overview window.
The Previous and Next buttons save changes in the current record and take you to the previous or next record. The sequence of the records is the same as that in the overview window. If the Previous or Next buttons are dimmed, it means you are already editing the first or last record.

Undo changes in the entry dialog box by using the following buttons.

Button Description
The Revert button undoes all modifications in the current entry dialog box.
The Cancel button returns you to the previous dialog box without saving entries or modifications.
Button Description
The Close button, the small button with an X on it, terminates data entry, but rather than return to the overview window, you return to the planning board. You will be asked if you want to save your changes.
The Sort button is available on some entry windows. It allows you to sort records by various attributes in the dialog box.

You cannot print an entry dialog box, but you can print its data by choosing Print from the File menu. This will print the data for either selected records or all records in the overview dialog box.
