Account Hierarchy

To access the Account Hierarchy window, click in the Account Detail view.

Note: Only the administrator and the users with the required permissions can use this option.

For a selected account, the top section of this window displays a summary of:

  • Opportunities
  • Invoices
  • Sales orders
  • Quotes
Note: All Dollar values are in Base Currency.

If you select the Cascade Totals check box, a total amount of all values from the point of the hierarchy down and the values replicate throughout all the tabs.

For example, if you select the parent account and select the Cascade Totals check box, all values for the children and grandchildren accounts are included in the total. If you select the second child account and select the Cascade Totals check box only the records from that point down are included in the totals.

These tabs are displayed in this window:

Tab name Description
Contacts All contacts linked to the account are displayed on this tab. You can click:
  • The account name to view the account details.
  • The contact name to view the contact details.
  • The email ID to open the email client.
    Note: An email client must be installed.
Opportunities All opportunities linked to the account are displayed on this tab. You can click:
  • The account name to view the account details.
  • The opportunity name to view the opportunity details.
Quotes All quotes linked to the account are displayed on this tab. You can click:
  • The account name to view the account details.
  • The quote name to view the quote details.
Sales Orders All sales orders linked to the account are displayed on this tab. You can click:
  • The account name to view the account details.
  • The sales order name to view the sales order details.
Note: All currencies are expressed in Base Currency.
Activities All activities linked to the user. You can click on the type to view the activity details.
Note: Only the accounts that the user has access to are displayed in the hierarchy. If the application reaches an account within the hierarchy, to which the user does not have access, no more accounts are displayed.
