Creating and managing alerts

You use Alert to define tasks, and schedule them to run when required. For example, you could create and schedule a task to save your Microsoft® Office Excel workbook at a specified time every day.

These are the two activities within Alert:

  • Alert Scheduler: Click Alert Scheduler to open the DataLink Server Alert Task definition and scheduling panel
  • Schedule this Workbook: Click Schedule this Workbook to create a DataLink Server Alert Task.
