Administering relational hierarchies
Hierarchies enable you to group your data into meaningful sets for aggregation and consolidation reporting. An example would be grouping financial ledger data by analysis codes. These groups are defined by you and are specific to your business requirements. Hierarchies can be used to fill in the gaps where there is little or no structure within the source product.
In this section, you will learn how to:
- Create a parent hierarchy.
- Manage hierarchies.
- Validate filters within the hierarchy.
- Extract data from the hierarchies.
- Report on a hierarchy.
- Filter on a hierarchy.
