Alert Scheduler
You use the Alert Scheduler to manage your tasks. From the panel you can add a new task, for example, e-mail your workbook, or you can delete an existing task. You can select a task and schedule it to execute at a specific time, or you can execute it immediately.
These are the four sections in Alert Scheduler:
- Tasks: All tasks and the user who created them are listed. A clock icon indicates the task has been scheduled. Double-click a task to edit the task definition.
- Task Details: Select a task in the Tasks section to view the task details. The details include the type of process that the
task uses and the process value. A single task may consist of multiple processes. There are three types of processes:
- Microsoft® Office Excel Workbook Process: The process value is the name of the Excel workbook referenced in the task.
- Command Line Process: The process value is the command line instruction to be run.
- E-mail: The process value is the address of the e-mail recipient.
- Schedule: If the task has been scheduled, you can view the event details in the schedule section. Right-click the event details to edit or delete them.
