Checking reports in and out
You can check in or check out reports and folders. To edit a report, check it out. To store your changes and make the report available to other users, check it in.
By default, reports are checked in/out recursively when you right-click the folder and select
or . That is, the selected object and its children (if not checked out to other users) are checked in or out. Also by default, no dialog is displayed during check in/out.In the Check Out and Check In dialogs, you can specify whether the check in or check out is recursive. And you can add a comment if required. Comments can be a maximum 200 characters and are displayed in the History dialog. They cannot be edited or deleted.
To keep a record of changes, enable the version history. Use the version history to get an earlier version of an object.
