Viewing the SMI console

The SMI console contains a visual representation of the inventory level as compared to maximum and minimum quantities. It is color-coded to indicate under and over inventory status as well as other part information. The legend, located at the bottom of the page, contains the color definitions. Hovering the mouse over areas displays information labels that are useful in understanding the console.

Through the SMI console, you can track inventory. You can view suggested shipment details and documents corresponding to the part.

To view the SMI console:

  1. Select Supplier Managed Inventory > View Console.
  2. Select the search criteria.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. To view suggested ship details, in the part's inventory table, click the Suggested Ship Quantity hyperlink.
  5. To view the corresponding purchase order, in the part's inventory table, click the Purchase Order icon in the table header.
  6. To view the corresponding schedule, in the part's inventory table, click the Releases icon in the table header.
