Parts Per Million

The Parts Per Million (PPM) module reports on the defective parts sent by suppliers. As the customer sends defect data, PPM data becomes available to both the customer and the supplier.

PPM is included in the Metric module to be optionally included in metric performance evaluations.

The PPM calculation is:

PPM = defects ÷ parts received × 1,000,000
