Outside processing
Through the Outside Processing (OP) component, customers can outsource certain processes to specialized contractors. For example, chrome plating, heat treating, and specialized paint operations. An outside process can be as simple as a one-time transaction between a customer and a contractor, or as complicated as several transactions between multiple customer facilities and multiple outside contractors to complete the process.
Through OP, customers gain real-time visibility to the process, can enforce a known sequence to the process, and can receive alerts when issues and discrepancies arise. Customers can track a part through an outside process and know where it is, when it should be available and what, if any, problems exist along the way.
The Outside Processing component is optional and must be set up by the customer.
