Containers page
Use the Containers page to view the details of the container.
- Container Code
- Code for the container. Typically an alphanumeric AIAG standard description where the first three characters are letters defining the type of container and the last two characters are numbers defining the container material. For example, BOX25 indicates that the container is a box made of corrugated or solid cardboard.
- Description
- Explanation of the Container Code.
- Returnable
- Indicates whether the customer will return the container to the supplier.
- EDI Code
- The container as it will be encoded in EDIFACT or X12 documents.
- Tare Weight
- The weight of the container when empty.
You can leave the field blank if the Unit of Measure field is set to Not Applicable.
You can set the value to Zero.
- Tare Weight Unit of Measure
- The unit to measure the weight of the container. This field can
have these values:
- Kilograms
- Pounds
- Not Applicable
- EDI Code
- The container as it will be encoded in EDIFACT or X12 documents.
- Tare Weight
- The weight of the container when empty.
You can leave the field blank if the Unit of Measure field is set to Not Applicable.
You can also set the value to Zero.

- The unit to measure the weight of the container. This field can
have these values:
- Kilograms
- Pounds
- Not Applicable
