Setup SMI Part page

Use the Setup SMI Part page to add SMI parts.

Facility

Name of the destination issuing demand to which parts are to be sent.

Ship To

Name of the shipping destination to which parts are to be sent.

Supplier

The company responsible for supplying and shipping the part.

Part

Part number as established by the customer.

Planner

The customer user responsible for maintaining the specific part's inventory. When attaching a planner to a part, previously entered planners can be selected from the list. To add a planner, select New and specify the planner's name in the field that displays.

Supplier Managed Inventory Minimum

The lowest acceptable number of parts for the customer to have on-hand.

Supplier Managed Inventory Maximum

The highest acceptable number of parts for the customer to have on-hand.

Quantity on Hand

The number of parts currently in the customer's inventory.

Average Daily Release (ADR)

The average number of parts required through releases per day.

Average Daily Usage (ADU)

The average number of parts consumed during manufacturing per day.

In Transit Days

How long, in days, a shipment of the part takes to arrive at the Ship To location. If left blank, the value defaults to zero (0).

Type

Whether the part is used in manufacturing (Production) or for operations (Service).

Status

An indicator of the part's purpose.

• Consignment. The part is processed and returned.
• Build-out. Model year build out; the part run is nearing its end.
• None. Neither consignment or model year build out.
