About CIP modeling
For CIP to be taken into account for specific resources, first a CIP stage is required. This stage type behaves as a decoupled stage. Consequently, only decoupled main product groups and decoupled main products can be used. The stage specifies the resource groups that require CIP operations. Only choice resource groups can be specified. Combination resource groups are not supported in the CIP stage. Then the steps are created for this stage, similarly to normal process steps. The last step is to define the CIP rules for the resources of the CIP process steps' resource groups. See About CIP rules.
- Create a stage of CIP type. When you create the stage, select CIP stage in the stage type list of the New Stage dialog box.
- To create a CIP process step, create a process step of CIP stage type. When you create the process step, select a stage of CIP type in the stage list of the New Process Step dialog box. The new process step is a CIP process step.
- To create a CIP rule for a
resource, perform these operations:
- Select a resource.
- In the CIP tab of the Resource Entry window, specify the CIP process step and its settings.
