Generating the General Ledger by Account Report
- Open the General Ledger by Account Report.

Use the Account Types check boxes to select the accounts to
include in the report:
- Asset
- Liability
- Owner's Equity
- Revenue
- Expense
- Analytical

Use these check boxes to specify the information printed on the
report:
- Show All Transactions
- Select this check box to print the total of each G/L account and all the transactions for that account. Unit codes are also displayed. Clear this field to print only the total for each G/L account.
- Show Unit Code Detail
- Select this check box to print details about the unit code on the report.
- Use Analytical Ledger
- Select this check box to process only analytical accounts.
- Group by Accounting Period
- Select this check box to group the results by accounting period.
- Print Internal/External Notes
- Select these check boxes to print internal and external notes on the report.
- Display Report Header
- Select this check box to print report headers on the report.

Specify this information:
- Sort By
- Select the method by which to sort the report:
- Transaction Date: Sort the transactions for each account by transaction date.
- Transaction Number: Sort the transactions for each account by transaction number.
- Unit 1-4: Sort the transactions for each account by transaction number, grouped by the specified unit code. If you select one of these and leave the Unit Code (1-4) field blank, the report uses the option you selected as the Unit Code. For example, if you sort by Unit2, the report assumes Unit Code (1-4) is set to 2, even if you leave that field blank.
- Unit Code (1-4)
- Select the unit code you want to report on.
- Site Group
- Select the multi-site group to use on the report. To limit records to the current site only, leave this field blank.

For these fields, select the range of values to include in the
report:
- Period
- Account
- Unit Code Range
Note: If you select a Unit Code Range, you must select a unit code in the Unit Code (1-4) field.
- Select Increment Date to automatically increment the date range and re-run the report.
- Click Preview to view the output before printing.
- Click Print to run the report and view the output.
