Staged Employees

This forms is used to hold the temporary master data before being written to the real master tables in factory Track. When the synchronization process is initiated, the master data is extracted from the ERP system and written to the staging tables for employees. An individual staging record is created for every master data record extracted. For example, in the Employee Staging Form, 200 employees are extracted from the ERP system. This creates 200 Employee staging records, all created with the same batch number, that identifies the particular extract being performed.

The form initially shows the base data from the ERP system along with a status of Downloaded. When the defaults are applied the values on the Employee Staging form are updated with the defaults and the status changed to Defaults Applied. At this stage, this form can be used to manually change certain fields if necessary. Consequently, the batch is posted to Factory Track and the status is changed to Posted. After this action is updated, no changes can be made to the staging records (for employees).
