Shift Defaults

This form allows to create a shift record if the shift does not exist. The system can also create a reduction set for that shift, if the default record indicates calculated.

The following fields are available:

  • Shift Type: The Type field is always from the default setting. The shift and description are used from the download data. The possible values are Static and Dynamic.
  • Premium Flag: This field can be set to Generate or Ignore. If the premium code is Generate, the value of the SyteLine code is searched for in Factory track and if a match is found, that premium code is applied to every day. If the code is not found, a new code is create as PRXXX where the XXX is equal to the first three digits of the percentage premium.
    Note: SL shifts that have a fixed dollar premium, Factory track ignores the premium.
  • Update Shift Premium: This field is only used when Premium is set to yes.
  • Logical Midnight Action: The Logical Midnight time can be set to midnight or can be calculated by adding the default value hours to the start time of the shift (only first day).
  • Midnight Offset Hours: This field can be updated, only when set to calculated and update midnight is set to yes.
  • Update Logical Midnight: This field is used when calculated is set to yes.
  • Logical Midnight Adjustment: This value is used from the taken from the default record. The possible value are: Previous Day and Current Day.
  • Report Date Adjustment: This value is used from the taken from the default record. The possible value are: Previous Day, Current Dayand Next Day.
  • Overtime Calculation Method: The calculation methods are: Weekly, Daily, Weekly and Daily.
  • Starting Day: The starting day of the shift.
  • Update Daily Hours: If the check box is selected, the comparison of the start time and end time and hours for each shift day is allowed.

The labor types section provides the following fields:

  • ERP Labor Type Regular: Code for Regular time.
  • ERP Labor Type Overtime: Code for Overtime
  • ERP Labor Type Doubletime: Code for double time.
  • ERP Labor Type Overtime Early: Code for early Overtime.
  • ERP Labor Type Doubletime Early: Code for early double time.
  • Overtime Threshold: Specify the overtime threshold, which is used for shifts that are set to the Weekly OT method.
  • Doubletime Threshold: Specify the Double Time Threshold , which defines the point at which hours start to categorize as double time.

The bottom section of the form displays these options:

  • Day Type Action: This field can be set to Generate value or Assign value.
  • Day Type: This field is enabled if the Day Type Action field is set to Assign value. The day type can be fixed or calculated. If day type fixed is selected, the value field must contain a valid default type. If the day type is calculated, the day type is set for each day based on whether the day has any working hours. If it has working hours, then it is set to working day, otherwise to non-work day.
  • Update Day Types: This field is enabled if the Day Type Action field is set to Generate value. If this check box is selected, and day type is calculated, then update recalculates this field.
  • Work Code Action: This field can be set to Generate value or Assign value.
  • Work Code: The work code is set, based on calculation or fixed value. If fixed value, the work code is always set to work code value of default record. If calculated, the value is set to eligible for overtime for days with hours scheduled, or overtime if no hours are scheduled.
  • Update Work Code: This field is enabled if the Work Code Action field is set to Generate value. If this check box is selected, and work code is calculated, then update recalculates this field.
  • Assign Reduction Set: If this check box is selected, reduction set action is applicable.
  • Reduction Set Action: This field can be set to Generate value or Assign value.
  • Reduction Set: User can specify the type of the reduction set to be used.
  • Clockable: This field is only enabled, if the Reduction Set Action field is set to Generate value.
  • Exclude Absences: This field is only enabled, if the Reduction Set Action field is set to Generate value.
