Editing Relationships

Use the Edit Relationship view to edit an existing relationship. Relationships establish a one-to-many or many-to-one relationship between two entities, a parent and a child.

The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.

To edit a relationship:

  1. Select the appropriate entity from the Entity Manager list.
  2. On the Relationships tab in the lower pane, select a relationship and click (Edit).
  3. Make following changes:
    Include child relationship property in the parent entity
    Select if you want the child entity to be listed as a Child Property of the parent entity.
    Display
    The display name of the parent entity.
    Import
    Select if you want the related entity to be imported when the related entity is imported.

    Selecting Import allows the entity to be imported when the related entity is imported, but only if the Import option is selected at the entity level for both the parent and child entities.

    Match
    Indicates whether or not the parent entity should be used as match criteria for an import of the child entity.
    Audited
    Indicates whether or not changes are being tracked for the field.
    Relationship
    Select the type relationship, one-to-many (1:M) or many-to-one (M:1), between the two entities.
    Include parent relationship property in the entity
    Select if you want the parent entity to be listed as a Parent Property of the child entity.
    Display
    The display name of the child entity.
    Import
    Select if you want the related entity to be imported when the related entity is imported.

    Match
    Indicates if parent entity can be used as match criteria for an import of the child entity.
    Audited
    Indicates whether or not changes are being tracked for the field.
  4. Click OK.
