Filtering the view
To filter users and groups, click
on the toolbar and specify the filter criteria:- Specifying the names of users or groups: Use the character * (asterisk) as wildcard for an arbitrary number of characters. Use the separator | (pipe), to search for multiple names. Example: *a*|*x*. All users or groups are shown, which have a or x in the name.
- Selecting object types, status of the user account, and authentication systems: Select the check boxes User and Groups, the check boxes Enabled and Disabled, and the check boxes of the authentication systems, for example, Basic or Windows, to specify the objects that are shown:
- Selecting object categories:
Select these check boxes, to specify the objects that are shown:
- System objects: Users and groups, which are used for internal processes or for data exchange between the Basic components, for example, the user AleaInternal. By default, these objects are not shown.
- Default objects: Users and groups which are part of the default database, for example, the users Admin and Guest.
- User-defined objects: Users and groups, which you have created.
- Selecting permissions: Select the check boxes of the permissions, to specify the objects that are shown.
Click
, to refresh the view. Click , to show all objects.Note: To use the
System objects check box as
filter criterion, select the check box
Show system objects in the
Options dialog.
