Working with the User Management

On the Users or Users and Groups tab you create Basic users and add users and groups from external authentication systems. The authentication system must be registered:

Note: If you have registered external authentication systems, the first tab's name is Users and Groups. If you work with Basic users and groups only, the tab's name is Users, because you administer Basic groups in the Basic Groups tab.

On the Basic Groups tab you create Basic groups and assign users and external groups that are displayed on the Users or Users and Groups tab.

On the User Management Roles tab you assign roles to users and groups that are required for the administration of the User Management and the users. You can neither create nor edit User Management roles.

You can use these buttons on all tabs:


Button	Description
	Expands the structure view and shows all subordinate objects.
	Collapses the structure view and shows only top level objects.
	Refreshes the view of the database objects.
	Stops the loading process of the database objects.
	Opens the online help.
