Deleting a repository

Note: To delete a Repository database and the registration, you require the permission Administer Repository and the credentials of the system user.

To delete a Repository database and the registration:

Right-click the registration in the tree and select Connect.
Right-click the registration in the tree and select All Tasks > Delete Repository. The dialog Delete Repository opens.
In the Summary field set of the dialog, check this information:

Delete registration

Shows the name of the selected repository registration.

Delete database, Delete tablespace

Shows the name of the selected Repository database. In case of an Oracle database, the name of the default tablespace <Default tablespace> is preset.

Delete schema user

To delete the schema user of the database, select this check box. By default, the check box is selected. If you have configured to use the system user as schema user, the check box is disabled.

Schema user

Shows the name of the configured schema user.
In the System user field set of the dialog, specify this information:

Authentication

Select the authentication method that you use for the system user to log in to theRepository database from the drop-down list. You can select Basic or Windows authentication. You can only select the authentication method for Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL databases.

User name

The system user is required to delete the database and the schema user. If Basic authentication is selected, specify the name of the system user that is used to log in to the Repository database. If Windows authentication is selected, you do not have to specify a user name and password. The log-in data of the current user is used. In case of an Orcale database, you must specify the name of the system user.

Password

Specify the password of the system user.
To delete the Repository database and the registration, click Delete. The message Repository <Repository name> has been deleted. is displayed. Click OK to close the dialog.
The registration is removed from the Repository Registrations node.
