The Cube Properties dialog

Right-click a cube in the Cubes and Data Areas dialog and select Properties. In the Cube Properties dialog is information about the cube and you can define security options. It is divided into three tabs; General, Access Permissions and Security.

The General tab

The General tab has this information about a cube:

  • The dimensions used by the cube.
  • The database alias under which the cube is located.
  • The number of dimensions used by the cube.
  • The cube type.
  • Whether access control exists for the cube

  • Whether multidimensional access control exists for the cube.
  • Whether a transaction log is being maintained for this cube.
  • The number of base values contained in the cube.
  • The number of calculated values in the cube.
  • The number of cube rules that have been created for the cube.
  • The data areas that have been created for the cube.

The Access Permissions tab

On the Access Permissions tab you can activate the access permissions of the #_TABACC cube and create and activate cubes for multidimensional access control.

To activate access permissions of the #_TABACC cube, select the Enable access control via the #_TABACC cube check box.

The Security tab

On the Security tab, specify whether changes to the cube should be logged to the Transaction log.
