Preview

The Preview pane displays the elements of a dimension, hierarchy or list selected in the Database Structure or of a list selected in an Ad-hoc report. You can search for elements of the dimension or list.

To open the Preview pane, click Preview on the toolbar of the list designer.

Options

Button	Description
Calculate Automatically	The preview automatically updates if the structure of a list changes.
Calculate	Update the preview manually.
Search	Search the captions or unique names of elements for a string.
Find All	Search for all elements matching the query.
Click the arrow on the Find All button to display these further options: Find Next - highlight the next match Find in Previous Result - search in the previous result Find Previous - highlight the previous match
Discard Search Results	Clear the search results.

Note: You can use * as a wildcard in searches.
