Filtering text elements

You usually filter values in the Data Area but you may also filter text and strings.

Note: This function is only available if you are using an OLAP Server database.

Open the Client List Designer and select the Data Area tab. Select Use data filter, select the operators and enter the characters you want to search for, enclosed in single quotes. You can use wildcards (*,?) but they cannot be combined or used more than once within an expression.

Note: You may only use the operators "=" and "<>". The available methods for defining the data area are Any value and All values. If you choose any other operator, you will get an empty list.
