General tab
You can select the elements of a list manually or dynamically. By default, the option is selected and all elements of the dimension are displayed. You use the Structure Filter, Text Filter and Data Area tabs to specify the structure of the list and the elements to use.

If you choose the option to select elements manually, you select elements individually on the Manual tab. The Structure Filter, Text Filter and Data Area tabs are disabled.
In the Global list settings section specify these settings:

| Hide duplicate elements | Elements that exist twice are only displayed once.
This check box is only active if the database alias uses the native OLAP Server driver, instead of XMLA. |
| Hide duplicate elements, if parent cannot be accessed | The same element may be a child of two or more consolidated elements. If a parent
is not accessible because access to it has been restricted, the child is still visible.

| Elements in order of definition | Elements are displayed in the order in which they were defined in the dimension. |
| Hierarchized | Indent according to enables the drop-down list for the selection of the display type. Select the display according to aggregate or hierarchy levels. This is only relevant if the dimension is a ragged hierarchy.. |
| Invert hierarchy | When you choose this option, the parents are displayed underneath the children. |
