Text Filter tab
Use the text filter to filter elements by their unique names, captions, or attributes. In a text filter definition, enter a string as the criterion. The elements, in addition to the other filter settings, are filtered by the string.
By default, the Text Filter tab has two columns called Unique Element Name and Element Caption. Select to display any attribute tables that exist for the dimension on which the client list is based. Each attribute is displayed in a separate column of the table.
You can combine unique element names and captions in a filter. For example, to include in the list all elements with the unique name [Period].[All Years].[2002] and all elements with the caption 2003, enter the unique name in the first row of the Unique Element Name column and the caption in the second row of the Element Caption column. The strings are joined by a logical OR operator. If you enter both strings on the same row, they are combined by the AND operator and, in the example given, return no result.
You can also use .NET regular expressions in the Text Filter tab.
