Document Formats (DFS) - General - Runtime defaults
These options provide default settings for the General tab on the Document Format Run Time Report Parameters form that is displayed when you run the report.

Specify this information:
- Output to Viewer

Select Yes to display the report output on a screen as the default, rather than print the report. The user may be able to override this on the run time parameters form.
- Output to Printer

Select Yes to send the report output to a printer by default, rather than display it on the screen. The user may be able to override this on the run time parameters form.
- Save Output

Select Yes to retain the output in the report store, by default. The user may be able to override this on the run time parameters form. The report is saved in the My Reports/Output folder by default. It is saved as a .srdl file.

- File Name or Version

The default name of the report file to be produced, if the report is being stored in a file. This file name is displayed in the Report Instance Name field on the run time parameters form. If this is left blank, the name of the .srdl file becomes the default name.
- Path to Report Instance

The path of the folder in which the report files are stored.
- Comment

Any comment you want to record about the report. These are printed on the front page of the report. For example, you might want to enter some special printing instructions. This is displayed in the Comment field on the run time parameters form.
- Language

The language in which the document or report is produced. This appears on the Language field on the run time parameters form.
